November 11th 2023- 40 years since the HSC

It will be 40 years this November since we set off into the big bad world after completion of the HSC in 1983/SC in 1981 for those early leavers. Time to celebrate!

Dave Young, in his usual thorough style, has explored a number of venues only to discover that prices have increased significantly post COVID and most places will only provide set catering. After several weeks of effort, site visits and negotiations, we have landed on The Ranch Hotel in North Ryde.
 
The Ranch requires a modest deposit to secure the space but then allows people to buy their own food and drinks and is flexible on the numbers on the night.

Accommodation is available on-site for those travelling from afar and the venue is a 10 minute walk from the Metro station and bus stop at Macquarie Centre. If you are booking accommodation, best get in soon. Rooms vary from $170-$210 per night). More information here https://www.theranch.com.au/

6:30pm – 11:30pm on Sat 11th November 2023.

The terrace accommodates up to 70 people comfortably, has heaters in case it gets cold and a wind out awning in case of wet weather.
 
Please let us know if you intend to attend so that we have an idea of numbers. This will help us plan for some games and prizes we have in mind.
